I've been following usability for a while, being a regular reader of Jacob Neilson's Alertbox and Jared Spool's UIE mailer. It had occurred to me to wonder why they sometimes disagreed but I'd never noticed to what extent their opinions differed. And more importantly, why and what this means. Ok-cancel have written a fantastic article examining the motivations of the usability industry gurus that has given me a pinch of salt to add to their absolute-truth opinion pieces.
