A couple of interesting finds turned up on CSS-D today, bith of which could prove very useful. The first was a solution to Big John's How To Clear Floats Without Structural Markup effort... Mark Hadley has managed to get around IE5/Mac's need for javascript to insert clearing elements by feeding it display: table-cell. It's a genius solution and I now plan to try the technique out in full.

On top of that, Alex Robinson has found that applying the display: table-cell will stop IE5/Mac from stretching divs without an explicit width to 100%.

Busy day, all in all!
